MSquared launches MASH at Web Summit

MASH Trailer

MASH is a generative AI product where anyone on the planet can get their phone out, take a photo of something, use it as inspiration, and then generate game-ready 3D assets.

“GTA 6 is probably one of the largest efforts of human creation, for creativity ever made. The budget is about $2 billion, four times higher than the most expensive film that's ever been made. There's probably about 7,500 people working to make that possible.

How could we enable more micro communities to come together and crowdsource creative projects of that scale?

MASH is a generative AI product where anyone on the planet can get their phone out, take a photo of something, use it as inspiration, and then generate game-ready 3D assets that can go into Unity, Unreal, Godot, Roblox, Fortnite, wherever you want.

When you're making that, it's not just being made for yourself. You're contributing it to a community pool of assets. Think of it as Wikipedia for 3D.

Anyone on the planet is allowed to use that asset to build their own experience and piece. And it's also compositional, which is a really powerful tool in Web3.

Someone makes a table. Someone else makes a chair. Someone else makes a dining set that combines them. Someone else makes a whole building and then a city and then an entire world.

And even with those different layers, there's different micro royalties able to be paid out via blockchain technologies. So we see this as a way of crowdsourcing the next generation of virtual worlds.

You know, they say there's a billion gamers right now. There's about to be a billion game creators. And tools like MASH are an important part of that. Now, it's super cool." MSquared CEO, Rob Whitehead.
